AFTER SCHOOL: Freelancing for Beginners

About this event

Join our Freelancing for Beginners workshop, part of our ‘After School’ series - workshops to support the community, especially young queer and trans POC and the new generation of the ballroom scene, in developing essential life skills - the things you typically don’t learn about at school.

Whether you’re a voguer booking your first gigs, just starting as a ZZP’er, or need some clarity on taxes and admin, this is the perfect space to learn and connect. This workshop is also great if you’ve recently started freelancing and want to brush up on the essentials.

We’ll cover:
- When to register as a ZZP’er (freelancer)
- Pros and cons of freelancing
- How to do your taxes
- Tips for keeping your admin simple and organized

The workshop is facilitated by Wilbert Slagboom and Mother Andrea Gabbana.

Founder & Director

Andre started the Utrecht Ballroom Scene in 2020 and is the Director of BALLROOM WORKS. They have been in ballroom since 2019, and have walked and won across Europe.
